Service Content:

1. Daily life care

2. Teaching life etiquette and life skills training

3. Academic Counseling

4. Individual and group emotional/behavioral counseling

5. Arrange various extracurricular and festival activities

6. Participate in community activities

7. Hold family activities or lectures

8. Clinical psychology services

Service Object:

Children with mild intellectual disabilities aged six to eighteen who need residential care due to family difficulties

Application procedure:

Can be referred to the Social Welfare Department's Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services by social workers or staff of rehabilitation service units

Service charges:

Accommodation and meals are free of charge. Guardians have to pay for children's daily self-care expenses, petty cash, medical, educational, and transport expenses.

 

Discharge of Service:

  • Service user / carer request to withdraw from service
  • Exit from the service is subject to the needs of the child, case development and recommendation of the referrers. There should be prior discussions between both parties and together with referring worker on welfare plan. All parties are required to complete necessary formalities for formal discharge.
