Unlike the general xiqu performance, the Relaxed Performances was supported with a range of access services and adjusted the volume of lighting and sound, inviting people with different disabilities to participate. The performance wishes to support the audience to enjoy the performance without pressure.
The Inclusive West Kowloon Community Engagement Programme is held from November 2022 to February 2023, aims to connect different people in the community, including people with and without disabilities, ethnic minorities and more. The programme consists of 3 phases: the Community Inclusion Ambassadors Programme, the Inclusive Workshop Series activities, and inclusive Relaxed Performances, and a total of 20 activities which are held in the West Kowloon Cultural District. Participants can consider diverse perspectives and experience its accessible and inclusive atmosphere where arts and culture are offered and inspire new thinking.
