The Charitable Account of the Lamma Boat Tragedy Donation

The public donation campaign launched by HK Electric and Christian Family Service Centre (CFSC) to assist families of victims of the Lamma boat tragedy came to a close on 16 December 2012, and totally raised HK$6,632,254.79.

According to the agreement reached by the independent vetting panel, the funds raised, except for those with specified beneficiaries, will be distributed among the 127 passengers on board Lamma IV on a 2:1 ratio to families of the deceased and those injured. The allocated donations have been distributed to those affected in January 2013.

CFSC was grateful to support the campaign, as well as to the public for their care and generous donations.
